We got a strange vibe here, it felt like a doom and gloom kinda place and you can still feel the soviet (communist) grip on the place. We used subway (metro) to get around which was very easy to use actually.. as long as you could kinda recongnise the names of the stations.
It was our first time in a country which harldy spoke any english and the language was something else!! Very overwhelming as we both stood out as tourists even though our aim was to try and blend in!!
We visited their local fresh food markets and their fruit was awesome and very cheap!!
This is what we had to eat at a restaurant called 'Fatale'
this was MASSIVE! it was Carp fillets with onion potatoes and a few other bits and pieces. this was in my top 3 of food ive eaten. im not sure what the other two are but it doesnt matter!!
We can't believe how quick the time is going, how much we are learning about different cultures, the different words we are using and how clint has worn shorts so often!! It's not about the things you see or buy but the exchanges between locals, and the experiences and memories we are forming together that we will never forget!
We leave Budapest and head to Krakow (pronounced Crackov), via Slovakia.
Until next time
