Its been a good year....

Wow we didnt realise how quickly time has gone since we last updated this! Time is flying by quite quickly, its almost the end of 2010 and that means its time to visit Father Xmas in the magic cave. This got us thinking about the last 12 months of the Clintylie Adventures and what we have achieved, done and seen. Its safe to say that i have experienced more in the last 12 months that i have in the last 5 or 6 years and what makes that even better is that i got to share it all with my beautiful wife, Kylie.

So if we wind the clock back 18 months, we both decided it would be a great idea to buy backpacks and some warm clothes and venture to sunny (but freezing cold) Europe. After visiting a travel expo we knew exactly what we wanted to do and we spent the whole of 2009 saving and planning for the trip of a lifetime. Looking back now, we spent quite alot of time planning that and we dont regret a single thing as we learnt alot in that time. Fast Forward those 18 months and its exactly a year ago we waved goodbye to our loved ones and hopped on that jumbo jet bound for London.

this is what happens after a 9 hour flight when you know a 12 hour flight is about an hour away!

After joining the 24 day tour we made it to Venice where i could finally suprise Kylie by proposing to her on that famous gondola on the Grand Canal. It was hard work hiding the ring and keeping it a secret and it was worth it!

we still dont know what this says.

Since november 2009, we have spent 2 months in Europe, I got baptised at Grange jetty, celebrated an engagement party, planned a wedding, renovated a unit, got married!, moved into a house, built another house and then finally put our feet up!

Hard to believe that all happened in the last 12 months.

A few weeks ago we got to witness our friends Sarah and David tie the knot on a lovely saturday afternoon in October. It was a beautiful day and we were lucky enough to celebrate with them that night at their reception. We got to meet some very cool people and we had a great night! Hope you guys enjoyed your honeymoon!

Mum and Dad were also kind enough to help us with the gardening and to tidy the front yard up, thanks again for your help! Mum also brought over some of my early childhood toys that i loved as a kid and as i found out, still do! Ahh my Star Wars figurines.

"freeze Rebel Scum!"
"lets be friends instead eh?" "ok. you didnt have a gun anyways did you?"

Kylie and i stayed up late one saturday night playing Lego! (thanks again mum!) If you ever come visit us, youre now going to make something and add it to our little street we have made.

"wasup!"

"wassup!"
"wwwasssuup!"
"wwwassssssuuuup!"
"wwwwwaaaaassssssuuuuup!"

so whats next for us? good question. Its now that time of the year they call the silly season. We have several members of the family celebrating birthdays and we also have my cousin Liss visiting us all the way from Perth in 2 weeks. Speaking of Perth, Kylie and I have booked two weeks away early January to visit our lovely cousins, aunty and uncle in the West. It will be awesome to soak up some western australian sun. Early february will see us in Melbourne for Ely and Josh's wedding where we will also be fortunate enough to have a quick lemonade with our partners in crime, Reggie and Annika.
Oh yeah and its Christmas soon!!
More to come......
