...and here we go!

So we have now made it to the other side of the fence where the grass is greener! We celebrated our big day nearly 2 months ago, relaxed on our honeymoon and we both are now back in the swing of things. To get to this point though, quite alot has happened!

Kylie was at work for just 3 days when it was time to facepaint at the adelaide show! During this time our good friend Nicole celebrated her 18th birthday party which we were unfortunately running late for. So late were we that as we were coming up to the front door we heard everyone inside about to pose for a group photo. Kylie decided to make the last chance effort to make the photo even though we hadnt even arrived yet. To our surprise as we came running through the door, everyone was facing our direction and due to the floor being extremely dusty (there was renovations going on to the building) Kylie slipped and became a human bowling bowl knocking over several guests, but got a strike! You know how sometimes you wish you had your video camera out just incase something funny happens? and if you send that video in to Australias funniest home videos, chances are you'd win first place? Well this was one of those moments. A moment which had most people muttering the words "What The???" A defining Kylie moment, this was the new Kylie Brice introducing herself to the world.

We had a great time at the party too! You are a special person Nicole, who deserves the best in what life has to offer! Thanks for asking us to be part of youre special night.

So it was time for Kylie and her mum to fly to Melbourne and facepaint at the show for 2 weeks. We had only been married for a few weeks and then we were apart for 2! Luckily for me, Jessie knew that id miss Kylie alot so she was kind enough to let me borrow her Nintendo Wii for a few days. I was blown away by her generosity, so much so that i became a pro in Wii tennis in no time! This passed the time very quickly and we were back together in no time!

While she was away we bought our first lawnmower! (thanks Shauna!)  Mum came round and helped tidy the garden and we trimmed the bushes and planted some veggies and herbs. (Which reminds me, i should water them) Heres a picture of me whipping the lawn (weeds) into a frenzy.

The Modbury Uniting Church U14 basketball team made it into their first grand final. Unfortunately they didnt get the win on the day but they did so well to get that far and to do their absolute best against a team who were pretty much twice the size of them! Theres always next season! The mens team which features Kylies bro, Dan, won theirs easily. Nice work bro!

We spent the october long weekend with the kids from modbury uniting youth in Mt Barker for Sayco. This is a christian camp for kids between the ages of 12 to 15. It was a great weekend, lots of funny moments, learning experiences and the kids got really into it. We came back totally exhausted but with a smile on our dial.

Halfway through the weekend, daylight saving kicked in and we lost another hour sleep to the many others we already missed =P

After surviving the Mt Barker weekend, we invited Jessie around for dinner and seeing it was her birthday recently, we decided she could have whatever she wanted for dinner. She chose vegetarian nachos and what a great choice that was. Kylie whipped the kitchen into a frenzy and came up with some pretty tasty nachos! I couldnt get them into my belly quick enough!

We had a chocolate fondue for dessert too! Good choices Jessie and thanks Kylie for everything! The next day the girls went and saw the movie, Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Jessie then invited us to her birthday party at her house and we had a lot of fun there too! We got to decorate our own cupcakes and gingerbread stars and men with help from our friend Belinda. Kylie made this cool star...

I made this gingerbread star...

heres a closeup of my cupcake....

thanks Jessie, we had a great night and we know you did too with your friends.

Things are moving along nicely so far and in the last few days we have recieved some good news! The house i was building out at Elizabeth has finally been completed and i made the trip out there to pick up the keys.

It was a great experience walking through the front door and down the hallway enjoying the "new house smell".

This weekend our good friends david and Sarah finally tie the knot. How exciting!
more to come.....

The Honeymoon

Here's the run down of our lovely warm honeymoon in sunny Pt Douglas..

Day One - Monday

After flying from cold adelaide to sunny cairns we took a shuttle bus to Pt.Douglas and tried to take in the fact that we had just become newly weds!
We felt instantly welcome when we arrived at our luxurious accomodation.. The Treetops Resort. Thanks Bozo.
Once we found our gorgeous room.. we decided to talk a walk down Four Mile Beach.. beautiful!
We even had time for a play..
woohoo
God was definately smiling sunshine down on us while we were away! Beautiful weather!
On the way home Kylie discovered something hanging in the electrical wires-"hey clint, those shoes look like a dead bat" ...
Clint has a closer look, thanks to the zooms lens.. and much to Kylie's dismay and Clints delight "It IS a dead bat!"
Kylie lost her appetite.. but Clint was more than happy to enjoy a meal.
This one was on the Ritchies :) Thanks guys!

Day Two - Tuesday

The sun continued to shine and we decided to simply relax, as we didn't have a wedding to plan anymore!
We were pretty stoked with our choice of resort! We lay down by the pool and just relaxed :)

niiice!

We also enjoyed a couples massage *no photos available* :)

Then we went for a wander to the town. Clint showed me all the spots he enjoyed last time he went to Pt.Douglas with out me.

St.Marys Church by the sea.. cute!

We tried to find Jessica Watson.. but she was probably writting a book or something.
The day just stayed light and warm it was awesome! Couldnt get over our beautiful resort either ;) jealous yet? You should be!

Before we knew it.. it was dinner time.. so we went to a local spot that the massuse reccommended.
Yumm! Tasty Fresh Local Fish!

Day Three - Wednesday

We went on a Cruise.. we picked the perfect day! No wind!
This is the island we sailed to..
And this is where we went snorkelling! (Low Isles)
Oh yeah thats my hunky husband!
We bought an underwater camera, so we have taken photos of the Reef and us underwater but they are yet to be developed!
Once again.. Clints appetite doesn;t go astray
bye bye island.. thanks for a wonderful day!
What a beautiful place

We had a $130 meal voucher to use at Treetops.. so we paced ourselves and ate as much as humanly possible
that was just the 'bread' now on to the entree!

Did someone say Crocodile Springrolls?? hmm interesting
now on to the main
Kylie not impressed with the service.. where is our dessert?? We paid for this free meal and we're not leaving til we get it!
I dont think I can fit it in though!
Day Four - Thursday

We headed into the town and it was a lovely day for a Clintylie Photoshoot!

All that posing made me hungry..

Day Five - Friday
A beautiful day for a walk!
We headed off down the road to the Wildlife Habitat YAY!

A pretty little path..
lets walk down there!

or not!!
theres bats.. and with bats.. comes.. BAT POO!!
we decided to take alternate path so we didnt get pooped on!
We arrived at the Wildlife Habitat and enjoyed "Breakfast with the Birds"
Yes, its juice.. and yes I really did marry this man!!
we enjoyed eating breakfast with the birds all around us.. and moved on to see the animals.. like this little fella..
lucky they taped her mouth shut!
We went on a tour through the rainforest. Clint was very good at pointing out birds :P
he seemed more excited about what came out of the birds bottoms tho!
Kylie on the other hand enjoyed talking with the birds
Isnt he a good bird posing for the camera..
yes we're getting fancy with the photos again ;)
I know its not in focus but it looks cool!
man I loooove birds!!
Gotta love these guys hair do!
I didn't have much luck with feeding the wallabies and kangaroos..
Clint on the other hand.. made a new friend!

So we said goodbye to the wildlife habitat.. and you think we'd be exhausted.. but no somehow we managed to hire some bikes and go bike riding for the afternoon!
yay!

I feel another Clintylie photoshoot coming up..

We went riding up and down hills and along Four Mile Beach! That was pretty cool!
Clint was in his element!
We check out another classy resort
We managed to have enough energy and gutso to climb up to a look out to see this view of the beach..
then it was 'home' time to relax
