Berlin - now with photos!

One of the cities we had been looking forward to the most is the epic German city of Berlin. We waved goodbye to Prague and set sail there via the world war 2 devasted German town of Dresden. Unfortuntately it was raining and very cold, so we only had a quick stop in an Irish pub for lunch and continued on our way.

We were in awe at seeing the remains of the Berlin wall. There's a stretch of 1.3kms which people have turned into a canvas and painted words of hope and peace for all to see. It was very touching to see this and finally connect this peice in the jigsaw of european history.

So it was tuesday and we have a free day in Berlin... what to do first?? Berlin, we discovered had TOO much to do! Right near our hostel was the second largest tower in the world. Clint has a chronic fear of heights, so this was the perfect choice to do first up! It was also the best way to see all of Berlin.

We then got to enjoy the two coolest things we have done (so far) on this trip.. after eating some yummy subway food we found an ice slide!! A man-made downhill slope made of snow where for €1.50 you can ride a tyre down it.. amazing!! Kylie screamed the whole way down, and I got to see the biggest school girl giggle from her!

Around the corner from that was Legoland!!!!!!! There was so much cool stuff in this place so here's the run down....

* The city of Berlin made out of Lego, which cycled through morning noon and night
* Remote controlled pirate ships made of lego

* A ghost train ride, with a scary lego dragon at the end! Ooowoo
* A 4D Bob the Builder movie in German, we wore awesome glasses. Bob built a rollercoaster, good times!!

* We did a quiz in the Indianna Jones exhibit. Did you know hippos are related to whales?? Either did we!

* We built our own racing cars, and then destroyed them on the test track!

* Kylie built her own princess palace in lego girls, it broke a few times but it was beautiful in the end. This is for you Jessie!!!

* Clint hung out with Lego men, he loved them so much he bought one to take home with him!

All in all we had a radical day, we reckon we'll return to Berlin, there's so much to do! Next stop the Netherlands!
